Below are troubleshooting tips for Google account management. The internal website is still being worked on so the following section is not relevant yet. This page will be updated once the internal website is fully functioning.
Verify that you’ve been added as a member
Before you can be added as a member, fill out the Electronic Communications Consent form first at cpco-op.ca/consent. To check to see if you have access to the internal website… ~~~ This part is still being worked on, stay tuned ~~~
Create a Google Sign-in account with an existing email
- Go to accounts.google.com > Create Account.
- Fill out the required info for the next couple of screens.
- When prompted to pick a username, click “use your existing email” (lower right) and enter your existing email address.
- You will then be asked to verify the email and pick a password. After that, you are good to go.
That username is taken. Try another.
If you get this message, go back to accounts.google.com and try to sign in using the email address. Click on “Forgot password?” to reset the password. 
Separate an email from a Google account
If an existing email (e.g. abc@hotmail.com) is already linked to another Gmail account (e.g. efg@gmail.com), and you want to unlink them to separate them out:
- Sign into accounts.google.com as efg@gmail.com
- Click on “Security“
- Scroll down to the “Recovery email” and remove abc@hotmail.com.
This will allow you to register a new and independent Google Sign-In account using abc@hotmail.com. Help articles: Sign in to your Google Account with another email address Create a Google Account
Not seeing the proper page.
If you’ve been verified as a member and you are seeing a 404. That’s an error. page like this one: 
it means you are using a Google account that’s different from the one you registered with the Co-op. Go to accounts.google.com, click on the profile icon on the upper right, and make sure the email address is the same as the one used for cpco-op.ca/verify. Either sign-in with the verified account or submit a new membership verification request to have the email changed.
